Board Meeting June 8, 2015 7pm
Minutes
Attendance: Chairman Neale Jones, Supervisor Ron Johnson, Supervisor Long, Treasurer Sue Nampel, Clerk Sue Johnson, Assessor P. Joseph Plasil.
- The Board meeting was called to order at 7:10pm by Chairman Neale Jones, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
- The Minutes were reviewed by the Town Board, on a motion by Supervisor Long to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Supervisor Johnson. Motion Carried.
The Open Book and Board of Review Minutes were reviewed; Supervisor Johnson made a motion to accept the minutes and Supervisor Long seconded. Motion Carried.
- The Treasurers Report was read by the Town Treasurer, on a motion by Supervisor Johnson to accept the report as read, and seconded by Supervisor Long. Motion Carried.
- The monthly bills were read by Chairman Jones. Supervisor Johnson made a motion to pay monthly bills and Supervisor Long Seconded. Motion Carried.
- Correspondences;
- Dodge County Land Information Committee sent a letter requesting notification of all roads the Town plans to seal coat or pave in 2015. The purpose is to identify and protect any survey markers from being disturbed or damaged during road work. We will notify the County Clerk when we know what work we will be doing and mark the Town map they provided.
- DCLR & PD Historical Town Hall Information, Clerk will contact Nate Olson with information.
- Reports;
- Reports for the Waterloo and Watertown Fire Departments were not available at meeting time.
- The Plan Commission did not meet this week due to farmers needing to be in the fields. They will resume again in September or as needed.
- Sandra Sikes wrote a letter to the Town Board, requesting direction on how to proceed with a land spilt. Chairman Jones will advise.
- Old Business;
- A new sign board has been installed at the Transfer Site for all the Towns Posting needs please check it out; also Father Anthony Good has a new window and a fresh coat of paint on the building he works out of on Saturday’s.
- The Town’s web site should be up and running by the next Board meeting.
- Discussion took place on what to do with the extra $10,000 from the 2014 Winter Road Maintenance Agreement from the county, which needs to be used by October 1st. It was decided to put it towards some road repairs and minor bridge work on Walton Rd.
- New Business;
- Road Bids were received from Scott Construction and Farhner Construction. The sealed bids were opened and much discussion took place. A motion was made by Supervisor Long to select Scott Construction to do the work this year and Supervisor Johnson seconded. Motion Carried, all were in favor.
- Liquor License applications were brought to the table by the clerk. Casey’s Saloon and Izaak Walton League of Watertown paperwork has been accepted. Supervisor Johnson made a motion to accept the applications for July 2015 thru June 2016 for Casey’s Saloon and Izaak Walton League of Watertown. Supervisor Long seconded the motion. Motion carried, and all were in favor.
- Miscellaneous;
- The ATV Ordinance discussion will need further research and has been put on hold at this time, the board sees no reason to rush a decision at this time.
- The WTA Convention will be Sunday, October 25th thru Tuesday, October 27th at the Kalahari Resort Center in Wisconsin Dells. Noted by the board.
- Public Comment-
- None to report.
- Next month’s meeting date; July 13, 2015, 7pm at the Emmet Town Hall.
Supervisor Long called for the meeting to be adjourned at 8:35pm and Chairman Jones seconded. Motion Carried Meeting Adjourned.
