Town Board February 12, 2024
Minutes
Attendance: Chairman Neale Jones, Supervisor Peter McFarland, Supervisor Kyle Wollitz, Clerk-Treasurer Susan Johnson.
The Board meeting was called to order at 7:05pm by Chairman Neale Jones, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
- The Minutes were reviewed by the Town Board, on a motion by Chairman Jones to accept the minutes as reviewed, seconded by Supervisor Wollitz. Motion Carried.
- The Treasurer’s Report was read by the Clerk-Treasurer Johnson, on a motion by Peter McFarlan to accept the report as read and seconded by Supervisor Wollitz Motion Carried.
- The monthly bills were read by Clerk-Treasurer Johnson; Supervisor Wollitz made a motion to pay monthly bills and Supervisor McFarland seconded. Motion Carried.
- Correspondence-None to report.
- Reports.
a. The Watertown Rural Fire Department and Waterloo Fire Department reports were not ready at meeting times.
b. On February 2, 2024 Supervisor McFarland attended the WTA 2024 District Meeting in Juneau. Much discussion took place on the Small Bridge/Culvert Program, the DOT is gathering information throughout the state. Other topics were Agricultural Road Improvement Program, Shared Revenue Update and Supervisor McFarland took the Board of Review (BOR) Certification Training for this year.

- Miscellaneous.
a. The Town of Shields is doing a Revaluation to come up to full value with the State law requirements (Section 70.32 of the WI Statutes). Open Book will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 9am-Noon & 1pm-4:30pm. Board of Review will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 5-7pm. Notices will be mailed out 2-3 weeks ahead of the above dates.
- Public Comment-None to report.
- Next month’s board meeting date; March 11, 2024 at 7 pm at the Emmet Town Hall.
- Supervisor Wollitz called for the meeting to be adjourned at 7:36pm and Supervisor McFarland seconded. Motion Carried Meeting Adjourned.
