    1.  Grant for 2024 for recycling was approved.
    1. Dodge County Land Resources and Parks Dept. sent a notice of approval for Clint Stiemke at W7793 Provimi Road Watertown WI for Roof Mounted Solar PV installation. 
    1. DCLR&P dept sent a notice of approval for Ron and Sue Johnson for the construction of a 40X60 shed. 
    1. GFL dumpster drop off fee and lock bar fee waived from past bill for the town.

May 13th 2024 Monthly Town Board Meeting Minutes

Minutes
Attendance: Chairman Neale Jones, Supervisor Peter McFarland, Supervisor Kyle Wollitz, Clerk-Treasurer Julie Klusken.
The Board meeting was called to order at 7:03pm by Neale Jones, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
1.
The Minutes were reviewed by the Town Board, on a motion by Supervisor McFarland to accept the minutes as reviewed, seconded by Supervisor Wollitz. Motion Carried.
2.
The Treasurer’s Report was read by the Clerk-Treasurer Klusken, on a motion by Supervisor Wollitz to accept the report as read and seconded by Chairman Jones. Motion Carried.
3.
The monthly bills were read by Clerk-Treasurer Klusken; Supervisor McFarland made a motion to pay monthly bills and Supervisor Wollitz seconded. Motion Carried. A mention of the GFL fee being higher than planned due to dumpster drop off fee, Clerk Klusken will verify this fee as it was noted it would be waived if we contracted with them. Verification will be made by Clerk Klusken.
4.
Correspondence-
a.
Sue Johnson sent a Thank You card to the board and residents for her cake and plant.
b.
Reminder from Dodge County Land Resources and Parks Committee to update them of any road work that is planned this year.
5.
Reports.
a.
The Watertown Rural Fire Reports are as follows: The Watertown Fire Department Report for February was 1 EMS call, 1 Fire call, and 1 HAZCON call, no MVA calls. The Watertown Fire dept had 0 calls for March. The April report was not ready yet. The Waterloo Fire Dept. had 0 calls for Jan, February, and March. The April report was not ready yet.
b.
The Dodge County Unit meeting was attended by Clerk/ Treasurer Klusken on April 17th 2024.
c.
The Board of Review opened at 7:00pm and adjourned meeting at 7:01pm on May 13th 2024 new date will be October 21st 2024.
d.
Clerk/ Treasurer Klusken completed the training on the new Alcohol Licenses forms. Clerk / Treasurer sent the new forms to locations that have renewal’s due for next month.
e.
Clerk/ Treasurer Klusken completed the C/CT training in Madison.

Old Business-
a.
On April 22nd completed the Annual Town Meeting.

New Business.
a.
Clerk/ Treasurer Klusken completed a review with Dept. of Natural Resources for recycling grant. Last review of our recycling process was completed in 2013. Recycling Compliance Assurance Plan for Transfer Site and Ordinance 94-1 will need to be updated. Updates to be discussed at June meeting. DNR representative report will be coming but preliminary results note Town of Shields is able to get Annual Recycling Grant with no issues reported with our recycling program. Continued discussion at June board meeting.

Miscellaneous
a.
Road bid for 2024 was advertised in Watertown Daily Times and sealed bids should be sent to Town of Shields Clerk/ Treasurer Klusken for review at our June 10th 2024 meeting.
b.
Senator John Jagler sent Clerk/ Treasurer Klusken the Wisconsin Blue Book if anyone wishes to view it please contact her.
c.
Reminder of Dodge County completing the Culvert Project inventory for the 6-20 foot Culvert Inventory. Some confusion was noted on who was doing the inventory and it has been clarified that Dodge County will inventory.
d.
Weed Notice for transfer site has been published as required.

Public Comment

Supervisor Wollitz called the meeting to adjourn at 8:05pm and Supervisor McFarland seconded. Motioned carried. Meeting Adjourned.
