  7. New Business                                                                                                          A. The contractor for the large appliances/metal pick up at transfer site (Lyle Erdman) is no longer able to provide services to the Town of Shields.   Discussion of options.                                                                                                                B. Dodge County Land Resources and Parks Dept. sent a Letter of Intent Notification for Rick Abendroth agent for Triple R Farms Real Estate Holdings to do a Minor Land Division at N363 Hubbleton Road Waterloo WI 53594 for a one-acre lot for a family member to build a home.  The Planning Commission met on Thursday December 19th and approved request noting land would need to be rezoned to A2.  Board recommendation needed for Dodge County Land Resources and Parks Dept.
  8. Miscellaneous                                                                                                           A. Tax bills have been mailed out to all residents. If you have not received your bill reach out to Clerk/ Treasurer Klusken.                                                                   B. Dodge County Unit Meeting will be held on Wednesday January 15th 2025 at 7:30pm at the Dodge County Administration Building.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a town caucus for the purpose of nominating candidates to appear on the spring election ballot for the above listed offices will be held on Monday, January 13, 2023 following the monthly Board Meeting beginning at 7pm at Emmet Town Hall W6777 Second Street Rd, Watertown, WI 53098

Open position-

Supervisor Wollitz- will not be seeking reelection to the board.

    1. Renewal of the Joint Powers Agreement County 911 Emergency System effective January 1st 2025 to December 31, 2025.
    2. Dodge County Highway Commission sent Maintenance Agreement.  A 15% increase in Administrative fee effective January 1st 2025 to offset facility expenses not included in wages and fees.  Retainer fee of $750.00 per mile X 28.65 miles of town roads is $21,487.50.  Any unused will be spent on road maintenance or carried forward to next winter season.

    1. November Elections will take place on November 5th from 7am-8pm at Emmet Town Hall.   Please register to vote at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/
    2. Board of Review to meet on October 21st from 5-7pm at Emmet Town Hall.
    3. .Drafting of the 2025 Budget will be at 7pm after BOR meeting at Emmet Town Hall.
    4. The 2025 Public Budget Hearing of the Electors will be held on November 12, 2024 following the monthly board meeting at approximately 7:30pm.
    5. Wisconsin Towns Association Unit Meeting will be held October 16th at 7:30pm at Dodge County Admin building.
