There will be
an election to be held in the Town of Town of Shields, on Tuesday, April 4,
2023. The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents
listed:

Caucus for Candidates
Between December 1st, 2022 and January 1st, 2023, a date for the town caucus will be scheduled to nominate candidates to appear on the spring election ballot for the above listed offices. The caucus will be held between January 2nd and January 21st. Notice of the scheduled date of the caucus will be given at least five (5) days before the caucus.
Additional Information
Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.

1. The Board meeting was called to order at 7:01pm by Chairman Neale Jones, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
2. The Minutes were reviewed by the Town Board, on a motion by Supervisor Johnson to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Supervisor McFarland. Motion Carried.
3. The Treasurers Report was read by the Clerk-Treasurer Johnson, on a motion by Supervisor McFarland to accept the report as read and seconded by Supervisor Johnson. Motion Carried.
4. The monthly bills were read by Clerk-Treasurer Johnson; Supervisor Johnson made a motion to pay monthly bills and Supervisor McFarland seconded. Motion Carried.
5. Correspondence-None to report
6. Reports.
a. The Watertown Rural Fire Department report for September 2022 was 1-Fire call, no EMS calls, no MVA & no HAZCON. The Waterloo Fire Department report was not available at meeting time.
b. Chairman Jones and Clerk-Treasurer Johnson attended the Waterloo Fire Department meeting that was held on October 17th to discuss the needs the Townships will continue to need in the future. The City of Waterloo and The Town of Waterloo are in the process of writing a new “Agreement for Fire Protection and Ambulance Service” and wanted the townships input for the future.
c. Dodge County Unit Meeting was not attended by the board.

8. New Business.
a. The town received from the Department of Revenue, a first notice of First Notice of Non-Compliance for the assessment of value of the township. The Board will investigate doing a full re-evaluation of the town ship in 2024, when we bring in Grota Appraisals.

11. Next month’s meeting date; December 12, 2022 at 7 pm at the Emmet Town Hall.
Chairman Jones called for the meeting to be adjourned at 7:19pm and Supervisor Johnson seconded. Motion Carried Meeting Adjourned.

Notice is here by given that a special town meeting of the Town of Shields, Dodge County, Wisconsin, will be held at the town at the Emmet Town Hall, W6777 Second Street Road, Watertown, WI 53098. On November 14, 2022, following the Budget Hearing of the Electors. The purpose of the meeting is to change the position of and Elected Assessor to an Appointed Assessor. A request for the meeting having been made by the Town Board of the Town of Shields, Dodge County.
