Board Meeting February 11, 2018 7pm
Minutes
Attendance: Chairman Neale Jones,
Supervisor Peter McFarland, Supervisor Ron Johnson, Treasurer Sue Nampel, Clerk
Susan Johnson.
1. The Board meeting
was called to order at 7:06pm by Chairman Neale Jones,
the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
2. The Minutes were reviewed by the Town Board, on a
motion by Supervisor Johnson to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Supervisor
McFarland. Motion Carried.
3. The Treasurers Report was read by the Town Treasurer,
on a motion by Supervisor Johnson to except the report as read, and seconded by
Supervisor McFarland. Motion Carried.
4. The monthly bills were read by Clerk Johnson, Supervisor
McFarland made a motion to pay monthly bills and Supervisor Johnson seconded.
Motion Carried.
5. Correspondences;
a. The Department of Revenue sent notice that staff
appraisers will be working in our county as part of an assessment review.
Reviewing the sales involves viewing the land and improvements from the road,
taking pictures, and in some cases, talking with the buyers and sellers
involved in each transaction. Noted by board.
b. A yearly update from the Local Emergency Managers was
sent. We have been compliant since 2006. There is always extra free training
available for the town board.

c. DCLR & PD sent notice of an approved Land Use
Permit for Travis Miller to put in a pond on his property. County ID # 190039.

6. Reports;
a. The Watertown Rural Fire Department report for December
2018 for the TO-Shields was 1-Fire call, 2-EMS. The total for the TO-Shields in
2018 was 5-Fire calls, 9-EMS, 2-MVA and 2-HAZCON. And the Total for the four
townships was (Emmet, Milford, Shields & Watertown) 20-Fire runs, 75-EMS
runs, 23-MVA runs and 4-HAZCON runs.
Waterloo also sent the final report for the TO-Shields
and there were no runs to the township in December or 2018.
b. Chairman Jones attended the bimonthly meeting of the
WTA, Dodge County Unit meeting in Juneau. The discussion took place as a round
robin for the Emergency Management.

9. Miscellaneous;
a. The Spring Election will be held on April 2, 2019.
Polls open at 7am and close at 8pm.
b. The Annual Meeting will be held on April 23, 2019, 7pm
at the Emmet Town Hall.
The public is invited to attend.
10. Public Comment-None to report.
11. Next month’s meeting date; March 11, 2019 at 7 pm at
the Emmet Town Hall.
Supervisor Johnson called for the meeting to be adjourned
at 7:55pm and Supervisor McFarland seconded. Motion Carried Meeting Adjourned.
