NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that the first day to circulate nomination papers is Friday, December 1, 2017, and the final day for filing nomination papers is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.  Judicial Office candidates file with the Wisconsin Elections Commission.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that if a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 8p.m. or following the monthly Board Meeting held at 7pm, at the Emmet Town Hall, W6777 Second Street Road, Watertown, WI will hold PUBLIC HEARING on the PROPOSED 2018 BUDGET of the Town of Shields in Dodge County will be held. The proposed budget is available for inspection at the town clerk’s office by appointment.

Notice is hereby given that on Monday, November 13, 2017 immediately following completion of the Public Hearing on the proposed 2017 Budget which begins at 8pm, at the Emmet Town Hall, W6777 Second Street Road, Watertown, WI a Special Town Meeting of the electors called pursuant to Section 60.12(1) (c) of the Wisconsin Statutes by the town board of the following proposed will be held;

1. To approve the total of the total of the 2018 highway expenditures pursuant to Section 81.01(3) of the Wisconsin Statutes.
2. To adopt the 2017 tax levy to be paid in 2018 pursuant to the Section 60.10(1) (a) of Wisconsin Statutes.

 Minutes

Attendance: Chairman Neale Jones, Supervisor Bob Long, Supervisor Ron Johnson, Treasurer Sue Nampel, Clerk Susan Johnson, Assessor P. Joseph Plasil.

1. The Board meeting was called to order at 7:01pm by Chairman Neale Jones, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
2. The Minutes were reviewed by the Town Board, on a motion by Supervisor Johnson to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Chairman Jones. Motion Carried.
3. The Treasurers Report was read by the Town Treasurer, on a motion by Supervisor Johnson to accept the report as read, and seconded by Supervisor Long. Motion Carried.

3. The monthly bills were read by Clerk Johnson, Supervisor Long made a motion to pay monthly bills and Supervisor Johnson seconded. Motion Carried.
4. Correspondences;
5. DCLR &PD sent notice of new road assignment number for Daryl & Tiffany Peirick, N568 Barry Road, Watertown, WI 53098. Noted by the board.
6. Reports;
7. Waterloo Fire Department sent the July Activity Report, no runs were reported to the Town of Shields. The Watertown Fire Department Responses to the Town for July were 4 EMS calls. Noted by the board.
8. There was a Town Officer, Dodge County Unit, WTA meeting held on July 19, 2017. Main speaker was Rick Manthe, WTA Legal Counsel. No one was available to attend.

7. Old Business;
8. The Township is responsible for a charge of $300 to the Dodge County Humane Society. A woman in the township was bitten by a stray cat.
9. New Business-None to report.
10. Miscellaneous-None to report.
11. Public Comment-None to report.
12. Next month’s meeting date; October 9, 2017 at 7 pm at the Emmet Town Hall.

Chairman Jones called for the meeting to be adjourned at 7:35pm and Supervisor Johnson seconded. Motion Carried Meeting Adjourned.
